Course Description
This is a one day workshop about pre-production, production and post production as it relates to effectively using DSLR cameras to achieve cinematic results. By the end of this session you will be able to tap in to the potential that your DSLR has to offer in creating some of the most desirable looking video available.
Your FOCUS Instructor
Yan Shvalb developed his skills in the digital arts through commercial work, teaching and consulting. At Sony he learned high-end 3D animation and compositing on Avid, Flame and SoftImage systems. Shvalb ran a DVD authoring facility at General TV Network and served as chief technical officer and CIO at Inflight Online, where he earned patents in air-to-ground communications technologies. He started VizualFX where he currently offers contract video services, DVD authoring and consulting for workflow design. You can also find him teaching at NYU or speaking events like NAB, Siggraph and Macworld.
Who Should Attend
Anyone interested in using DSLR's and working with footage shot with a DSLR to get the most out of the format and produce cinema quality results.
Prerequisites:
Some knowledge of videography and editing on a modern NLE would be useful. It's is helpful to own or have access to a DSLR.
