The Greater Maitland 5K Run & Walk is an uplifting community event that benefits local charities in the Maitland area. Established in 2005 by Orangewood Church in Maitland who partnered with Fleet Feet Sports soon after, this community event has donated nearly $60,000 to local charities since it began. In addition, the Greater Maitland 5K Run & Walk has raised the awareness for helping people who are in need in the Orlando area.
