In celebration of the ALOC’s 60th Anniversary, the Casselberry Art House will feature one of many 2013 Artists League of Orange County (ALOC) exhibits March 4 – 29, 2013. The exhibit will be available for viewing Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A free artist’s reception will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided. The ALOC was organized in 1953 “to bring together, at frequent intervals, artists and those who are interested in encouraging artists, young and old, amateur and professional, and to serve art interests in the community.” Thus stated by the founding artists, the Artists League of Orange County (ALOC) will celebrate its 60th Anniversary in 2013 with special exhibitions, workshops, programs, and adventures featuring both their long-time and newer members. The ALOC group meets monthly from September through May at the Beardall Senior Center in Orlando and includes educational programs, artist demonstrations and related workshops.
