Celebrate spring with some great jazz under the stars on April 12 with the Art & Music in the Park and The Food Truck Bazaar in Casselberry’s Lake Concord Park featuring Saxophonist Jeff Rupert from 6 - 9 p.m. The event, sponsored by the City of Casselberry, is located at 95 Triplet Lake Dr. behind Casselberry City Hall. Jeff Rupert enjoys a career as a freelance tenor saxophonist. Rupert’s numerous recordings as a featured soloist include dates with Diane Schuur, Mel Torme, Benny Carter’s Grammy winning recording, Harlem Renaissance, Sam Rivers, NJ blues band The Fins, Maynard Ferguson, and his own quartet recordings, Jeff Rupert, Jeff Rupert + Dirty Martini, Jeff Rupert & Kenny Drew Jr. From Memphis to Mobile (not yet released). Jeff has been a featured soloist at the Chicago Blues festival, Montreux Jazz festival, Montreux, Switzerland, Lucerne Jazz festival, Jamaica Jazz festival, Aruba Jazz festival, Bishopstock, Devon, England, Jubileums Blues festival, Hamar, Norway, as well as numerous other festivals throughout the world. Come hungry because no reservations are needed for this al fresco dinner venue and you are invited to choose from more than 14 gourmet food trucks from The Food Truck Bazaar (www.thefoodtruckbazaar). Each food truck offers delicious culinary delights that range from mouth watering flatbread pizzas to scrumptious frosted cupcakes. After dinner, take a stroll around the park and visit the many artisan booths displaying a variety of hand-made works of art including jewelry, paintings, photography, ceramics, and more!
