ESPN Interviews Manti T'eo Notre Dame linebacker Manti T'eo came forward Friday to insist he "wasn't faking it" when talking about his dead girlfriend, who, as we now know never existed. In an off-camera interview with ESPN, T'eo did say he tailored the story just a little bit. Tao said he told people he met his gf so people wouldn’t think he was crazy. Manti went on to say he kept quiet and kept up the dead girlfriend so it wouldn’t cause a distraction to the Fighting Irish as they prepared for the BCS Championship game against Alabama. Now Katie Couric will get him for his first ON CAMERA interview this Thursday at 3PM on ABC on the "Katie" show. No other details were given….
