HANK WILLIAMS JR apologized for his remarks Monday regarding the President and Speaker John Boehner. In a statement posted on his website, Hank said, “The thought of the leaders of both parties (Obama and Boehner) …high fivin’ on the golf course, while so many families are struggling to get by, simply made me boil over and make a dumb statement.” He added: “I’m sorry if it offended anyone. MIRANDA LAMBERT is surprised her new song, “Baggage Claim” is climbing the charts so quickly. Mrs. BLAKE SHELTON said of her song moving into the Top Ten Country Charts this week: “…it actually debuted higher than some of my singles ever even went on the chart…To me, it’s just a fun and it’s upbeat and it’s got attitude and I think it’s just kind of a song that you don’t have to think too hard about it, you can just kind of groove to it...” MIRANDA LAMBERT’s forthcoming album, FOUR THE RECORD will be out November 1. 

Look for MIRANDA LAMBERT also co-wrote a song with hubby BLAKE SHELTON about BLAKE’s brother who was killed instantly in a car accident when he was only 24. BLAKE was only 14. MIRANDA recorded the song “Over You” at BLAKE’s urging because he said he didn’t think he would be able to perform it.
